1. Creamated then scaterd somewhere of my choice (Haven't thought of where yet, should probably get on that)

2. Yes, I'm not using them so why let them go to waste. Just make sure I'm fully dead, none of this "well he's in a coma and MAY never come out" no, fully dead.

3. I want it to be filled with stories and laughter, not saddnes (though I guess that's unavoidable) a little light music even. When people talk at it they tell embrassing stories that will make everyone laugh. And the funeral march will be "Who wants to live forever?" By Queen.

4. Elizabeth Hayhurst

5. "Who wants to live forever" By Queen, and "Closing time" by semi-sonic

6. They may wear what they like (Though black may be nice for my mom's sake)

7. Probably not, just not my thing i suppose.

8. I'd be ash so sure why not.

9. I really don't care, but for my mom's sake it'd have to be traditional Catholic mass, she just lost her son I gotta give the poor gal something.

10. I hope to not have a funeral for a LONG LONG TIME.

1) Lately I'm leaning towards frozen *before*, actually, but failing that, really whatever's most convenient - I'm not using 'em

2) Totally, yes.

3) What Cameron said - stories, laughter where possible.

4) Lindsey Gosselin

5) Let it Be

6) What they like, really.

7) Well, freezing's pretty unconventional. I dunno.

8) Sure, why not.

9) For Lindsey's sake, yes.

10) Again, what Cameron said.

I just accepted that I'm an atheist pretty recently, so death's a pretty terrifying thought at the moment.

Death does become scarier if you stop believing in God. *nod* If it helps, I find it comforting that because we all learn from each other, we are bits and pieces of those who have passed away and bits and pieces of us will live on through others. If that makes sense. Like, my Nana who passed away taught my dad to make scrambled eggs, and he taught me. So, whenever I make scrambled eggs, Nana's living on. Even the littlest of things like that, you know? There's a song that goes, "if I will love then I will find that I have touched another life...and that's something worth leaving behind." So that's how I make my peace with it.

By the way, excellent song choice. Thank you so much for answering:-)

A celebration. Happiness - happy stories and memories shared, etc.

My mom.

I want to be ashes...
9. Would you want the ceremony to be religious?
I mean, of course.
10. Anything else you would like to say?

Thanks! I'm surprised, actually, at how many people want to be cremated and then buried. Any reason? (As opposed to traditional burial, or opposed to scattering ashes.)

I want a place that my family (assuming I had any that cared at that point in my life) have a place to commeorate and remember me. But, fullbody burial is an extremly large waste and hazordous to the enviornment (The chemicals in embaum)

definitely, I don't need them anymore

3. Have you thought of what you would want your funeral to be like? (details?)
I haven't thought of it, but since you ask the question, I will...
I'd love lots of music, not too depressing, nice stories about me, an hopeful message about the resurection of the dead

4. If you were to die today, who would you want to give your eulogy?
my mom

5. Which (if any) song(s) would you like played at your funeral?
Let the weak say I am strong

I don't really care

7. How do you feel about untraditional disposal of the body? (having your ashes turned into diamonds, donating your body to exhibits such as Body World, etc.?) Are there any you would consider?
no, what happens to my dead body isn't a big deal for me, so I wouldn't rack my brains to find something original to do with it

8. Do you want an open casket?
I'd prefer to be ashes

9. Would you want the ceremony to be religious?
yes

10. Anything else you would like to say?
apart from the donating organs ones, I had never thought about most of these questions

1. What would you like to have happen to your body after you die?
take what you need and cremate the rest - I don't want to be a bother - but I hope the cremation is as friendly to the earth as possible.

2. If possible, do you want your organs donated? (Why or why not?)
sure. I should really fill out one of thems forms.

3. Have you thought of what you would want your funeral to be like? (details?)
I want the people who are still around to meet and enjoy each other. I know so many awesome people and if I can't be there to introduce them, it would be cool if I could leave a ripple like that in my wake. so to speak. I think some of it should be sad and then it should be a party, with naked people.

4. If you were to die today, who would you want to give your eulogy?
I'd say S, but that's both because it'd be meaningful and kind of because it'd be vengeful. ;) I don't know who else gets me at that level. really I'd like to cheat and have my 5 closest friends all say stuff.

5. Which (if any) song(s) would you like played at your funeral?
supertramp - two of us
anything of mine my friends want to hear
blink182 - I want to fuck a dog in the ass

6. Do you want people to wear black at your funeral?
I always want people to wear black

7. How do you feel about untraditional disposal of the body? (having your ashes turned into diamonds, donating your body to exhibits such as Body World, etc.?) Are there any you would consider?
diamonds sounds neat. I dunno.

8. Do you want an open casket?
only if it's funny

9. Would you want the ceremony to be religious?
no.

10. Anything else you would like to say?
I hope my best friends who have compy knowledge can take full advantage of my intense amount of data, from an awesome music and movie collection to all kinds of writing and unfinished songs. it would be a crime to let all of that go.

1. What would you like to have happen to your body after you die?
I want to be cremated.

2. If possible, do you want your organs donated? (Why or why not?)
Yes, if it can help someone live, then of course! I'm just going to be turned into ashes as it is. In fact, my state ID already lists me as an organ donor.

3. Have you thought of what you would want your funeral to be like? (details?)
I want it to be a celebration of my life, not an event mourning my death

4. If you were to die today, who would you want to give your eulogy?
My mother, and then a eulogy delivered together by my group of friends. I don't believe in having only one eulogy when you're so close to so many people.

5. Which (if any) song(s) would you like played at your funeral?
I would want Karl to perform the song "Beautiful", which he wrote for me last year.

6. Do you want people to wear black at your funeral?
No, I want people to wear what they feel good in. If that means they want to wear black because they feel it's appropriate, so be it.

7. How do you feel about untraditional disposal of the body? (having your ashes turned into diamonds, donating your body to exhibits such as Body World, etc.?) Are there any you would consider?
No; once my organs are donated, I would prefer to be cremated and then rest in peace.

8. Do you want an open casket?
Since I want to be cremated, no. I want people to remember me as being alive.

9. Would you want the ceremony to be religious?
No.

10. Anything else you would like to say?
Is it morbid that I'd already thought of the answers to most of these questions?

1. What would you like to have happen to your body after you die?

i'll most certainly be cremated...

2. If possible, do you want your organs donated? (Why or why not?)

3. Have you thought of what you would want your funeral to be like? (details?)

4. If you were to die today, who would you want to give your eulogy?

i'd have to give that honour to my mom...she'd kill me otherwise...ha ha...

5. Which (if any) song(s) would you like played at your funeral?

wish you were here - pink floyd (ha ha j/k)...

jealous guy - john lennon (just 'cuz it's one of my favourites and a beautiful song)...

6. Do you want people to wear black at your funeral?

hell they don't even have to dress if they don't want to...but really anything would be cool by me...

7. How do you feel about untraditional disposal of the body? (having your ashes turned into diamonds, donating your body to exhibits such as Body World, etc.?) Are there any you would consider?

body world would be cool...i've always threatened to have my ashes made into soup like some tribe does...hint: don't eat the food at my wake...

8. Do you want an open casket?

no casket just ashes...

9. Would you want the ceremony to be religious?

i'm not so it couldn't be...

10. Anything else you would like to say?

i hope everyone has a good time at my funeral...

1. What would you like to have happen to your body after you die?
Buried. Whole. Traditional, I know. How else am I supposed to burst out of my grave and freak the crap out of some little junior high kids having a cemetery seance? (Just kidding about the last part, of course.)

2. If possible, do you want your organs donated? (Why or why not?)
I'm not quite sure where I stand on this yet. I think it's great to donate and help people live, but at the same time, they're mine. I know I'm dead and it doesn't matter. So long as they originally would just be tossed and not buried with me anyway, those ones can be donated. I don't want it messing up my body, though (aka eyes removed, or something like that).

3. Have you thought of what you would want your funeral to be like? (details?)
I have, a lot. In fact, quite often you will hear me say something like "Oh! Do this at my funeral!" as I think of things. I'm a bit of a traditional Goth in the very un-modern sense of the definition. I want it to be happy. Sure, I'll let people cry a little, but move on and live life! I want a happy slideshow with pictures and memories, a bunch of people from my lifetime doing little talents that I loved them for (piano, singing songs, impersonations, etc.), things like that.

4. If you were to die today, who would you want to give your eulogy?
I'd like my dad to talk, though it would be really hard for him, I think. I want someone who knows me. In fact, I don't want one person. I want various people to be able to get up and talk and share. My friend Katie (I call her KB) is a very hippie-peace-love person, and I think she'd bring a good spirit if she got to talk, too. I want people who have known me in all walks of like to talk and share, because one thing that frustrates me about myself is that I feel like not one person knows all of me and my sides intimately. I want the world to know me and what I am and love. :)

5. Which (if any) song(s) would you like played at your funeral?
"Into the West" by Annie Lennox would be the "solemn" song, yet I feel it brings such an awakening and happy resolution at the end. I'd like music that I like to be played in the background (perhaps at the reception/gathering)...enya, piano music, crazy classical music. At the funeral, if this were the super long funeral that I am somehow developing as I write this, I would have different songs that I've jammed out to with family and friends, or that have been my theme songs. Since my dad's a bit of a techie, if I asked him to make CDs, he would probably pass out a "Stephanie's Life" CD with all my little "theme songs" and favorites as party favors. From "You Gotta Be" by Desiree to "More Than a Feeling" by Boston, and all the little songs I have stored in my memory (like "Greensleeves/What Child Is This" for Christmas since that was my first oboe solo ever and I played it in 6th grade, or "Dreaming of You" by Selena because my first time as Honored Queen in Job's Daughters my dad and I danced together to it, "Love Story/Where Do I Begin?" since all my/my grandmother's music boxes play it, etc.)

6. Do you want people to wear black at your funeral?
Heck. No. Wear whatever you want, and be colorful. I love my people in my life for the colors they are to me. I'd be happy if they came in pajamas, since I wear them ALL THE FREAKING TIME.

Crap, I write too much!
7. How do you feel about untraditional disposal of the body? (having your ashes turned into diamonds, donating your body to exhibits such as Body World, etc.?) Are there any you would consider?
I think it's way cool, but not for me. Though Body World would show that my body is skinny somewhere underneath all this pudge! :)

8. Do you want an open casket?
Sure. I think if I die before my dad, I think he should put a clown nose on me for a bit. I don't know why people think that's disrespectful. It's something I'd do in real life, you know? I want people to laugh and remember me and my quirks. Why are people so stuffy at funerals? We dress up and act formal like we've never been around each other. Just be yourself. I just don't want anyone drawing Sharpie mustaches on me. :)

9. Would you want the ceremony to be religious?
Of course. I am a very faithful religious and spiritual person. But in addition the comforting religious euology part, I want all the fun I've already spoke of.

10. Anything else you would like to say?
Holy cow, it sounds like my funeral is going to be hella long.
This poem was put in my grandma's program at her funeral, and I think it's perfect and would like the same read at mine. It's perfect about letting go, and when you're sad, do good things for others and serving our fellow men. That's what I do when I'm sad. I'd want others to remember to do the same.
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room;
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little - but not too long
and not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared.
Miss Me - But Let Me Go.

For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart,
go to the friends we know.
Bury our sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me - But Let Me Go.

Re: Crap, I write too much!
Thanks so much for answering! It's cool that you've thought so much about this. I actually quoted your bit about pajamas in my paper:-D If you get a chance tonight, could you send me your last name (to knock dot three dot times at gmail dot com) so I can credit you properly?

As a side note, when you donate organs, they don't take anything that would prevent you from having an open casket. I think maybe your corneas can be donated, but no one would be able to tell;-) (Not that I'm saying you have to donate your organs or anything, just wanted to let you know since you seemed concerned.)

Re: Crap, I write too much!
You know, something else I was thinking about while answering...if it weren't so creepy to me and I weren't so traditional and, well, me...I would donate mybody as a cadaver perhaps for medical schools. My best gay friend is in med school right now (2nd year), and last year he brought me in the lab because I wanted to see the cadavers. It was nearly midnight so it was dead silent (no pun intended), and they were covered, but it was the CREEPIEST feeling...I think because they are all "unknowns" or unclaimed, or died horribly and families donated them. I felt a really heavy sadness, but I think it is such a great cause so we can learn more. Plus, they gave them cool names, like King Henry. :)

I figured it'd be OPTIMAL to reply to this in the middle of the night via Sleeping Brian's laptop Rieber Vista 9th floor lounge. YAH!

1. I'd like to have organs donated to science. Then I want to be burned. BURNED! And then.. I can't think of any deep thing to happen next. Scattered to love ones and the rest on the playground in Montrose.

2. HA! Beat you to it. Yes, I would, because I don't want them to use animals.

3. I'd like people to miss me. I'd also like them to get along.

4. Only the best writer in the entire world, my sister.

5. Whoa! Hard question. I'd at least like to have.... UGH. If I think of one, I'll get back to you.

6. Well, I won't tell them not to.

7. People should be able to request to do whatever they want w/ their bodies, who cares! I, for one, am not interested.

8. NON

9. Yes of course

10. I'm TIRED TIRED TIREDDDDDDDDD
